Offline-first inventory and point-of-sale for African shops. Know your stock, know your money — even with no signal.

Product studio · Cameroon → Worldwide
BrainBox237 is a software studio out of Cameroon. Twelve years of mobile and web engineering, built offline-first for the networks we actually have — and shipped to clients across the continent and beyond.
Who we are
We are a small studio that builds software for the way Africa actually works — offline-first, mobile money native, and fast on a two-bar connection.
BrainBox237 started in 2013, writing code for shops, schools and founders who could not wait for perfect infrastructure. That pressure shaped how we build: apps that keep working when the network drops, sync cleanly when it returns, and respect a data bundle like it costs money — because here, it does.
Today the same studio ships for clients well past our borders. The discipline travels: software made to survive Douala traffic and a Buea power cut tends to feel effortless everywhere else.
One team, end to end — product thinking, design, mobile, web and the cloud underneath it. No hand-offs to three vendors, no guessing who owns the bug. We write production code, not slideware, and we own what we ship after launch.
We are deliberate about quality: typed codebases, real test passes, signed releases, and reviews against the policies of the stores we publish to. Boring rigour, so the product can be exciting.
Selected work
A studio is the sum of what it ships. Here is some of it — products you can hold, used by real businesses.

Offline-first inventory and point-of-sale for African shops. Know your stock, know your money — even with no signal.

A digital banking platform built around Njangi — Cameroon's rotating savings circles — with a hardened TypeScript backend.

Crypto exchange platform with none-custodial system that allows account recovery and self management.

A competitive skill-gaming app for campus life, built offline-first with a Supabase and Firebase hybrid backend.

Our own publishing arm — engineering courses and build logs that teach the next generation of Cameroonian developers.
Track record
What we do
Native-feeling Flutter apps engineered offline-first, so they keep working when the network does not. Built to pass store review on the first serious try.
Fast, accessible web products and the APIs behind them — from marketing sites to multi-tenant SaaS dashboards your team can actually run.
The infrastructure underneath: deployment, storage, auth, backups and observability. Set up once, properly, so it stops being your problem.
Mobile Money, card rails and licensing wired in correctly — including offline-safe entitlements for markets where cards are the exception, not the rule.
Interface design and product direction grounded in how people here really use phones — small screens, big sun, one hand, low patience.
Flagship product
Know your stock. Know your money.
Stocka is our offline-first inventory and point-of-sale app for African retailers and SMEs. Track stock, record sales and debts, manage expenses and watch your margins — all on the phone in your pocket, with or without internet. When you reconnect, everything syncs to a secure cloud and your devices stay licensed even offline.

Where we are from
From the foot of Mount Fako to the ports of Douala — we build here, on purpose.
Being a Cameroonian studio is not a footnote on our site; it is the reason our software is good. We test on the phones people actually carry, on the networks they actually have, paying with the money they actually use. That is a hard place to build — and exactly why what we ship holds up anywhere.
